Marlei turned 7!

Yep, our middle child is seven years old now. I honestly don't know how the time just soars by. Now that we have started school our days are going by at like a Mach 3 speed it seems. Marlei had a fabulous birthday. We are staying a month in our favorite RV park in Southfork, Co. We had originally planned to throw a birthday at one of the fire pits and have cake for the whole park. Due to COVID ramping back up and the at-risk community we are surrounded by we decided to cancel the party, yet most everyone dropped off a little present for Marlei and her sisters. This community is so special we love each and everyone here. So we had a more low key birthday than originally planned, the cherry on top was being able to have Tyler home.

Thanks to everyone in the park we have replenished our coloring book stash along with some new arts and crafts. Marlei asked for an Ironman cake ( after her Aladdin cake wasn't available) We have started watching the Marvel series in chronological order as a family. By far Ironman is a family favorite so I'm happy we were finally able to find a cake she liked. I was able to decorate the trailer very stylishly with her Aladdin themed decorations. So it was Ironman/Aladdin style. No big deal our new seven year old is easy to please. She is just so kind and selfless and understanding. Such a sweetheart. I pray she keeps her heart protected and stays herself as she grows older.

She got to pick her birthday meals. For breakfast, we had unicorn pancakes which is something my mom made with them the last time we visited with her. Mine did not quite look like the ones on Pinterest but Marlei loved all 5 of the unicorns I made that morning. Dad's unicorn was a little dark skinned unicorn since I accidentally burnt it. For lunch, we had cake and ice cream and yummy pizza. Then for dinner, we had mom and dads homemade chicken wings that are the bomb and a house favorite.

Each daughter God has given us has fulfilled our life to the fullest. Each one having their own unique looks and personality. Marlie is hands down the most emotional yet selfless child we have. I really don't have other words to describe her but when you spend a little time with Marlei you will see how big her heart is. It's the sweetest thing and gives us so much joy. Im so happy we were able to celebrate her birthday as a family and as a community here in such a beautiful place. We are truly blessed.

Sweet, sweet Marlei.... I wish we could have been there for the birthday. Indeed, Marlei is the sweetest child. I will never forget her having lunch ready for us after a long morning fishing in Copper Basin. We were both so hungry and thirsty and we walked in and there was the table fully set, lunch on the plate, little flowers in glasses and a sign that said, "Hope you Enjoy Your Meal." I teared up. :) Yet, all of the girls are so special in their own way. I miss them.
