- degrees in a 4 season trailer.

Well, we survived the worst weather so far in the trailer. 15 inches of snowfall over a few bitterly cold days. I know Texas got slammed and was not prepared for this kind of event along with other southern states. We prayed for yall, and I know our prayer warriors were doing the same for us. We had some high winds and one night our pipes on the inside of the trailer froze and stayed frozen for a majority of the next day. Thankfully the RV park had a rec room and opened its doors to us that day. We ended up making salt water taffy for RaeLynn's school work and the owners shared some nice warm soup with us. Our new puppy got to spend a few hours socializing with the owners and their dogs.

The following days were filled with sledding, snowboarding, and drying of clothes. It seemed like it took 30 minutes to get everyone bundled up properly for 15 minutes of play. Then they would come in to warm up with hot chocolate, turn around and head back out for more fun. The snow stuck around for a couple of days. Of course, later in the week when the snow had a chance to freeze again allowed perfect sledding material. Thankfully we did not get any damage from the weather. We did have ice building up around the windows and in a few cracks from the humidity inside. Being in that kind of temperature is not the easiest, more of a mental challenge than anything. We stayed busy with cooking snacks and enjoying the company of others down in the rec hall.

There's something about the beauty that snow brings. Growing up I never got the chance to appreciate anything like this. The tall pines scattered through the valley covered in snow, the tracks of wildlife that you would otherwise never see. The silence holding over a bustling town, temporary peacefulness. A beauty of its own.
