Pushing through the crowds of anglers I was able to snag this beauty of a fish. Without reasoning some fish just mean more and fill you will so much gratitude. A wave of contentment washed over me once he landed in my net. While we are fishing the Rio Grande, it's not as common catch a Rio Grande cut throat of this size. So he just made me feel lucky for the day. We haven't been able to fish much in our new spot. Probably close to 20 anglers fished the stretch of river by our trailer in one day, leaving us little opportunity to actually enjoy that run.
Each morning we have gotten to see the same mother and baby moose come by our spot. We have seen the bull moose again as well. The deer are noticably thin, and are very comfortable walking right up to us. Charlie always feels accomplished when he chases one "off our property". I'm just hoping one morning he doesn't go chasing off the wrong animal.
Even though the amount of crowds here in this national forest is frustrating. I was telling Tyler how we are out here in these parks with fellow Americans. We may not be doing the same activities but atleast we are all out here "together" enjoying our public lands.
Shake hands with nature not people.
Beautiful fish Hannah. Beautiful spot. Maybe one day soon we can join you.
